Omu, Mama and Me

Just a sweet picture of me, my mama and Omu.

Yia Yia and Pop

My Yia Yia (pronounced by me as Ya Ya) and Pop (which is also what my Dad called his Grandpa too!) came to visit and we did all sorts of fun things! They both had fun ways to rock me that made of drool and sleep lots. I took them all over Las Vegas and showed them my favorite spots. Dad and Pop spent lots of time laughing at my gas! Ha ha... just like them! I will miss my Yia Yia and Pop - especially our fun trip to the Original Pancake House - a local favorite. Pop even picked out the cute pink shoes I am wearing in the bottom picture - they have a silver butterfly on the toes! Perfect to match many of my Pooh outfits.

Uncle Brice and Uncle Ben

My Uncle Brice (top picture) and Uncle Ben (bottom picture) made it into the hospital about three minutes before I was born! They drove all the way from Everett, WA just so they could be the first ones to tell me that I would do all sorts of cool stuff with them when I get bigger, but probably couldn't tell mom about the stuff since she is going to be super protective :) Good thing Mom knows all their tricks! I love them both and hope they come to see me again soon!

My Grandpa

This is my Grandpa. He has the double arm bounce down! When I came home (top picture) Mom was too afraid to carry me up the stairs to my home, so my Grandpa wrapped me up and carried me in!

My Omu and Tutu

My Omu (formally Oma but Cousin Lil' decided she needed to be an Omu rather then an Oma and I agree) and my Tutu were there to welcome me into the world! They love me with all of their hearts and I love them too! Can't wait to see them again!
**Oma means Grandma in German and Tutu means Grandma in Hawaiian

Slippers!

Thanks to my awesome cousin Lil' I have these cutie slippers to wear when my tiny toes (well, maybe not so tiny) get cold! Mom wants to know why they need a tail???

More Nap Times

When Mom came in to check on me napping, she found me sound asleep holding Dad's hand! Of course my hand is so tiny, I only hold the tip of his finger :) So cute!

Shoes... a must!

A tiny pair of leather mary janes!

Happy Memorial Day

Dahlia is dressed to her summer best for Memorial day! Adorable sailor outfit (chosen by her very own Pappy) with a Popeye look at the top down to the too cool for school sun glasses and in the last photo, sans sailor pants, her chubby legs and little bow!

Enjoying(???) the bassinet

Dahlia actually enjoyed some awake bassinet time this weekend. Although these pictures missed her smile, she really did smile at the bears above her! You can see in the back ground her guard dog, Tobin. He is always by her side :) She is also sporting one of the best clothing purchases ever! They are onsies that have a dress front (like a whole body skort)... she now owns all of the different designs they carry at Target. Perfect for all those lovely hot summer days here in the desert!

Classic Pooh Outfit

These pictures don't do this adorable outfit justice. The purple and blue plaid pants have tiny buttons that are the shapes of flowers which coordinate with the blue sweater that has the same purple flower buttons. The matching bonnet and blouse have Classic Pooh and sea shells as well as the shoes. Of course there is also a matching onsie with sea shells and bugs and as all cute outfits have, ruffled socks!

8 Weeks

Dahlia is now 8 weeks old! She is about 24 inches and we have no idea how much she weighs. We go to the pediatrician next week so an update will come afterwards. In the picture above, you can also see how much hair she has lost! It is coming back in super light - we think she may end up with light blonde/red hair.

Nap Time after Brunch at the Rampart

Dahlia and her dad sleep just the same... open mouthed and Dahlia adds in a mini snore. Also, check out the wicked farmers tan Michael has after two straight days of golf in the desert!

Nap Time

Just some more cute pictures of nap time! We are still attempting longer naps in the crib... Dahlia is up to about a half an hour!

Laundry Time with Dad

Day 1 with Dad at home... Laundry time! Michael's comment to her when he was folding the laundry was 'don't go anywhere!' Ha ha! She is hanging out in her little bath tub on the raised mat.... of course no water :)

Bounce... Bounce... Bounce

Dahlia's new bouncer seems to be a small hit for her! She really seems to love the purple hippo and the cute little song the lion sings. Hooray for small steps to independence at 7 weeks!

Yellow Dress

This is Dahlia's yellow dress that her Great Grandmother Helen bought to match her own yellow wardrobe. It is still a little big so another posting of pictures will occur in about a month, but we had to post those blue eyes!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we celebrate our first Mother's Day with a lovely trip to the Rampart for Champagne Brunch! Dahlia received a million compliments on her adorable outfit and height!

The rest of the day will be playing in the pool at Grandpa's (okay, Mom and Dad will and Dahlia will nap) house.

Pictures to come later.... had to strip Dahlia down to her onsie as it if officially one million degrees today :)

Happy Mother's Day to all of the special women in our lives who make being parents an amazing experience! Love you!

Bath Time!

Dahlia can't stand to be naked, even for a bath! Thanks to her Yia Yia's idea of putting her in a towel while in her tub, Dahlia no longer cries!

Smiles!

Dahlia has started smiling but it is super hard to catch it on camera! This shot is mid smile... it just makes everything amazing when she smiles at you!

Sunday brunch at the Rampart

This is the first of many Sunday Champagne brunches at the Rampart Dahlia will be attending. Dad was a champ and drank her glass since she is just 21 years shy

Skype!

Thanks to modern technology this is one of Dahlia's Skype sessions with her cross-continental family!
